Happy Monday everyone!
This week has some exciting updates in store for ORINOCO BLUE!
1. Welcome Vic!
Firstly I’m very happy to announce that as from this week my partner Vic will be joining the blogosphere :) You might have already seen him popping up in pictures throughout the blog, but now he’s officially joining the club! We both share an enormous passion for travelling and have been hitting the road together for over 6 years now!
Our first trip was after we had been dating for just one month. We had been talking about the many places we want to visit, and decided to just go for it and hop on a plane to Morocco for a 9-day train trip across the country (click here to read more about our Moroccan journey).Since then, we have wandered around France, Italy, Spain, Cuba, Belgium, Thailand, Czech Republic, Cambodia, Turkey, the Netherlands, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, the USA, Luxembourg, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Vatican City, Austria, Germany, Mexico, Belize and now Australia!
This adds up to 23 countries so far (not counting the ones we did separately), so we’ve got plenty more blogposts in store for you :-) Vic for example did a 7-month solo trip across South America, so he’ll be sharing his tips and tricks about this vast continent as well!
2. Bye bye ORINOCO BLUE!
The second major update this week is that time has come to say so long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, goodbye to the name “ORINOCO BLUE” (sniff…). Although we still love the name very much, it’s proven to be a bit hard to spell and remember.
So with Vic coming on board full-time we decided it would be a good time to do some (Australian) spring cleaning and relaunch the blog under a brand new name!
“So long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, goodbye ORINOCO BLUE!”
We won’t give away the new name just yet, but stay tuned as it will be announced later this week!
See you later alligator!
